Our students and staff are at the heart of the University. Our purpose is to inform, support and celebrate our entire University community through targeted communications.
Guidance and support
We provide guidance and support to colleagues across the University on strategic internal communications planning, tailored content creation and best practice, to help deliver more engaging and effective communications. This includes coordinating University-wide communications with those of Colleges and Professional Services, providing feedback on your local communications, and supporting the distribution of mass communications through our centrally managed channels (see below).
We can advise on:

- Other factors you may need to consider
University-wide emails are used to contact large groups of staff or students, and are limited to priority communications on subjects that impact large cohorts of the University community. They are kept to a minimum to reduce email overload.
If you have an important message that is relevant to the whole student and/or staff community, please contact us to discuss your communication needs. In some instances we will be able to suggest alternative, more appropriate, channels.
If we confirm that an email will be sent on your behalf, we will need to agree on the purpose, short content, audience, subject, who it's from, and date/time. Since these emails cannot include attachments, further online content will need to be included as a hyperlink.

Bulletin, the University’s staff magazine, is published online fortnightly with interviews, profiles, and features from across our staff community:

Staff and student engagement
We organise and manage information sessions for large groups of staff and students, led by the Senior Leadership Team, and work with University colleagues on more focussed sessions.
